Her experience in the areas of training, consulting and mentoring has been well received by diverse audiences. “I came to appreciate not only the results and impact(s) of Michelle’s work, but also the amount of knowledge, thought and effort that accompanied it…a well thought-out training strategy; careful selection and implementation of priorities, balancing training needs  and the on-going cost challenges to satisfy those needs; and a commitment to keep employees informed and engaged as a critical factor…Michelle is one of its key members, their ‘spokesperson’ via newsletter, and one who displayed an unyielding passion to make a lasting impact in the lives of others through training matters.”  – Junia Freitas, Director, Global Learning and Development, Celestica

As the “next step” in her own personal development, she founded EMBRACE© with the key goal:  “Integrating Abilities with Accessible Solutions”.  The mission is to provide optimal learning experiences for employees, customers and individuals with distinctive capabilities and unique needs.  We achieve this through development and delivery of learning solutions for custom-designed training, services which promote accessibility within the workplace and the community, learning support services, and keynote speaking to build upon employee engagement and/or personal development.  “It was an honour to have you with us and your talks were both heartfelt and informative. You could hear a pin drop in the room when you spoke, a true testament to your important messages and wonderful delivery.”  – Rhonda Gribbon, Transportation Event Planner, Ministry of Transportation

Motivational Speaking: Ministry of Transportation

for United Way Campaign – 2014

EMBRACE© also focuses on bringing out the best in people so they can embrace their abilities and inspire them to reach their goals through lifelong learning and excel for their future endeavours.  Building awareness, encouraging full participation, and helping to implement accessibility standards for people with disabilities is a passion for her due to personal experiences and as a brain surgery survivor.  As she stated: Understanding disability is a natural part of life – it can happen to anyone.  We all need to embrace our differences.  Truly in order for any service provider to be accessibility-ready, it needs to start a planning stage which encourages inclusion, change mindset/s, and encourage a supportive workforce and learning community. I believe services and marketers – and has been proven time and time again – would seize the opportunity to open doors to the demographic population of people with disabilities for it will be a win-win solution.  We all have abilities; but, some are just more apparent than others.”
